Two International Airports serve the region. The biggest is Alicante, an hour and twenty minutes away by car. But the closest is Murcia Airport at San Javier on the Mar Menor, only 45 minutes away.
One of the best sources of hire cars is the brokers Carjet - see www.carjet.com - but if you do not drive (or don't want to) then an airport pickup can be arranged for around €80 from Murcia, a little more from Alicante.
From Alicante you drive down the E-15 motorway past Murcia City in the direction of Granada/Almería, turn off at Totana and take the RM-3 motorway to the far end of the Mazarrón by-pass.
From San Javier you come along the AP-7 motorway (by-passing Cartagena and following signs towards Almería), and turn off at Mazarrón. Do not turn into Mazarrón but take the by-pass towards Puerto de Mazarrón.
At the roundabout at the end of the Mazarrón by-pass turn left towards Puerto de Mazarrón and then at the next roundabout bear right for Bolnuevo.
