If you are into getting an all-over tan then you will find that just to the west of Bolnuevo there is a stretch of totally unspoilt coast with seven sandy coves spread over nearly 2 kilometres that are designated naturist areas where nudism is permitted, though not obligatory!
The first of these, called Playa del Rincon, is only 1 kilomtre from the centre of Bolnuevo and is immediately beyond the headland at the end of Bolnuevo beach.
Three more line the bay to the next headland (the one with the small rocky island off it) while three others are just beyond it.
One of these, Playa de la Grua, still has the remains of a Roman Quay that was built to serve a nearby mine so is a popular fishing spot.
